REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PROOF OF FUNDING DOCUMENTS
The minimum amount required is $2,500 for Full Fee Paying applicants and $1,500 for applicants who have received an ALU grant. Proof of funding documents should reflect the appropriate amount depending on your funding status at ALU
Bank Statements
Recent bank statements (typically from the past 6 months).
Should show sufficient balance to cover tuition fees and living expenses.
Bank statements from personal accounts, parents’, legal guardians and guardians accounts are acceptable.
It should have an official letter head
Sponsorship Letter, see the template applicants will fill
A formal letter from a sponsor (usually a family member or relative) stating they will support your expenses.
It should show the sponsor’s details (name, email, contact number and signature)
The letter signed date should not be older than 3 months

Education Loan Approval Letter
There should be a letter from the bank or financial institution showing the approved loan amount.
Name of the institution, stamp and signature of the financial institution.
It should have an official letter head
Scholarship or Grant Award Letter
Official scholarship letters confirming the award amount.
Name of the institution, stamp and signature of the awarding institution.
It should have an official letter head
NOTE: The Sponsorship Commitment Letter is submitted along either of the financial documents.

- NOTE: The financial statement should be accompanied by the Sponsorship Commitment Letter (SCL) from the entity to which the bank financial statement belongs. Note: If the sponsor is an organization, the SCL with letterhead, stamp, and signature will be sufficient, and the bank statement is not mandatory.
